You don't have to figure this out alone

Hi, I'm Elowen. I'm a licensed therapist with a deep belief that healing happens in relationship and I'm really glad you're here.

This work chose me before I chose it

I didn't plan to become a therapist. Honestly, I thought I was going to be a teacher.

But somewhere between my own experiences as a kid who needed more support than she got, and watching families around me struggle without anywhere to turn — I realized this was exactly where I was supposed to be.
I've been doing this work for over a decade now.

And what I can tell you is that no two people walk through my door the same way. Some come in quietly, not sure what to say. Some come in with a list. Some come in for their kid and end up realizing they needed this, too.

That's okay. All of it is okay.

This space was built for exactly that — the uncertain, the overwhelmed, the ones who've been holding it together a little too long and finally decided to ask for help.

What you can expect here

My approach is relational, gentle, and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Which is a fancy way of saying: I'm trained in real methods that work, and I actually care about the person in front of me.
Whole-person care

You're not a diagnosis. You're not a behavior chart. You're a person with a story — and that's where we start.

Collaboration, always

I'm not here to tell you what to do. We figure it out together, at a pace that actually works for your life.

Growth without pressure

Progress looks different for everyone. Sometimes it's a breakthrough. Sometimes it's just a Tuesday where things felt a little lighter.

What this work is built on

To create a space where children, adolescents, and families feel genuinely seen, supported, and met exactly where they are — without pressure to be further along than they are.

Values

Safety first, always

Nothing meaningful happens without it. Every part of this practice is designed to feel as low-pressure and non-threatening as possible.
Dignity for every person

Regardless of age, background, diagnosis, or history — you deserve care that treats you like a whole human being.
Curiosity over judgment

I'm not here to label or fix. I'm here to understand. That starts with asking better questions and listening like I mean it.
Slow is okay

Healing isn't a race. There's no gold star for getting through it faster. We go at your pace — full stop.

I'm also a member of [Professional Association] and committed to ongoing education, because honestly? This field keeps growing and so should I.
